You should see results from anti-wrinkle injections in as little as three days. The effects of the treatment usually last up to four months, and will gradually diminish from thereon out. That is why treatments every four months is recommended to retain the desired appearance.
It is worth noting that the skin does not become more creased if treatment is stopped, it simply returns to the original state.
What happens after treatment?
After receiving your anti-wrinkle injections, generally, there are minimal side effects – at worst, you may experience slight bruising, redness or swelling. In an extremely rare number of patients, treatments around the eye can cause the eyelids to droop, but this is always temporary.
The results are visible within a few days, and after about a week, your muscles should be relaxed entirely. While you can resume your plans immediately following the treatment, it is recommended to avoid exercise and, where possible, to limit the use of facial expressions.
Finally, it is important to keep the treated area clean.
